Billy Gudgeon is turning up the volume with his new single ‘Redline’, a driving country-rock track that reflects the sound of his live show and the direction he is taking his career.
I'm Just Trying To Get Home On Time
The song, which Shannon Beaumont wrote long before he joined Billy’s band, sat on the shelf for several years before the pair picked it back up and brought it to life.
“It’s been sitting there for years,” Billy said.
“We picked it back up and I thought, ‘it’s got some legs’.”
Billy said the single was a lot of fun to play live, with a harder, rockier edge, but still has those country touches that make up his live sound.
“‘Redline’ is definitely the direction I’m trying to go more in,” he said.
“It reflects my live show more. I’m a country rock artist. This is me.”
